The Worst 100 Songs

The Worst 100 Songs as chosen by me, me and only me.

You have seen radio stations and TV shows present the best 100 songs or 500 songs or even 1000 songs over a certain period of time or the best songs in a certain genre (such as the Rock 1000 on The Rock FM), but what about the worst songs?
These are the songs that I would certainly vote for if a TV show or radio station was to do the worst songs over a certain time period etc... These songs are songs that have been released in the past 15 years they are all songs that have made me run over to the radio and change the station at some stage. How I ranked them is based on how often the song made me change the station and how quickly I would run to the radio to change the station also whether I would change the station today if I heard the song again. I have also put comments on why I hated the certain songs. Now you may not agree with my choices of songs and ask why you didn't have any input on this list, the simple answer to that is this is my site and the list of songs I don't like so nobody other than myself had a say in this list.

So here are The Worst 100 Songs from the absolute worst to the not so worse.

  1. You Really Got Me - The Edge Boyband (2006)
Comment: This song was created in 2006 in a bid to try and attract more listeners to The Edge and increase the ratings since radio surveying was being done at the time. The song was crap and I have to say New Zealand does not need their own version of Westlife or The Backstreet Boys. Even more funny is at the end of 2009 The Edge done their own Worst 10 songs of the 2000's and this song was number 6.
  2. Something So True - Blackseeds (2005)
Comment: zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz This song puts me to sleep it is so slow and sleepy.
  3. Fade Away - Che Fu (2001)
Comment: This guy should really be called Shit Fu since that's what his music is.
  4. Like I Love You - Junstin Timberlake (2002)
Comment: The first thing wrong with this song is that it is done by Justin Timberlake and I can't stand him and also it is a slow and sleepy song as well.
  5. Candle in the Wind 97 - Elton John (1997)
Comment: The most unfairest song in the world, Elton John is asked to sing at Princess Diana's funeral so he takes one of his existing songs changes a few lines and it ends up becoming the biggest selling song of all time.
  6. History Repeating Itself - Propellerheads and Shirley Bassey (1998)
  7. Dreaming - Scribe (2004)
Comment: Yes the Crusader makes it this high in my list why because this song is so slow and sleepy and boring
  8. Mambo Number 5 - Lou Bega (1999)
Comment: Such a stupid song lets sing about how many girls I am cheating on and then his next song he lists the countrys he has girls in.

  17. Like Glue - Sean Paul (2004)
  18. They Can't Take That Away - Ben Lummis (2004)
Comment: In case you forgot who Ben Lummis is, he was the winner of the 2004 NZ Idol and like all the other winners of Idol shows he has disappeared. If you are wondering why Rositta the 2005 winner isn't on this list, I haven't heard her song at all I don't even know the name of it, same with the 2006 winner. Never watched NZ Idol and have never heard it on the radio at all. Oh and C4 once did a "Worst Number Ones" on the "UChoose 40" and this song was number 1.
  19. Girlfriend - Nsyncc feat. Nelly (2002)

Comment: In case you forgot who True Bliss were they were a hyped up manufactured pop group from a TV show called Popstars where they found 5 people to make a pop group. All the 13 year old girls thought True Bliss was just the best thing ever for a couple of months then later that year their album was selling for $10 and everyone forgot about them. The producers of the show made heaps of money and took the Popstars format around the world between 2000 and 2002 and created more manufactured pop groups that we have forgotten about.

Comment: Another slow and sleepy song.
  96. Beat It - Fall Out Boy (2008)
Comment: This is just wrong, a classic from Michael Jackson ruined by this gay boy band. I guess MJ needed some money in royalties so he didn't loose his Neverland Ranch.
